Our student’s success in the ‘8th INTERNATIONAL DESIGN Olympiads’

Hikmet Ender Yavuz, our fourth year student in Department of Industrial Design won the third prize in the 8th International Dream line Design Olympiads organized by Turkish Design and Technology Association. 

Seven years ago Dream Line, began with the aim of becoming an International Design competition and to convey the most correct and usable knowledge to those who are interested in design and to bring them together with the known academicians and Designers. The organization summarizes its approach as human-centered and respectable to humanistic values. Students in different levels of education (from primary school up to university) can participate in this competition. This year 3494 projects from 34 various countries participated in the competition and an international jury evaluated the projects.

EMU student Hikmet Ender Yavuz’s project won the third prize in this competition. Our student was among the finalists in this competition last year too and had won the mentionable prize. 

‘8. ULUSLAR ARASI TASARIM OLYMPIAD’DA DAÜ’NÜN BAŞARISI

Merkezi Ankara’da bulunan Türkiye Tasarım ve Teknoloji Derneği tarafından bu yıl 8incisi düzenlenen ‘Uluslararası Düş Çizgisi Tasarım Olimpiyatları’nda (International Design Olympiad),  DAÜ Endüstri Ürünleri Tasarımı Bölümü 4. Sınıf öğrencisi Hikmet Ender Yavuz, Üçüncülük Ödülü’nü almaya hak kazandı.

Düş Çizgisi yedi yıl önce uluslar arası bir olimpiyat olma ve tasarım alanında ilgililere en doğru, en faydalı bilgileri aktarma, onları dünyanın önde gelen akademisyenleri ve tasarımcıları ile bir araya getirme düşüncesiyle başlatıldı. İlk, orta, lise ve üniversite öğrenci kategorileri içerisinde düzenlenen tasarım olimpiyatına bu yıl 34 ayrı ülke, toplam 3494 proje katıldı, bunlardan 111 proje sergilemeye layık bulundu. Uluslararası jüri binlerce proje arasından seçimlerini yaptı.

DAÜ Öğrencisi Hikmet Ender Yavuz’un projesi bu yarışmada Üniversite öğrencileri kategorisinde üçüncülük Ödülü’ne layık görüldü.  Öğrencimiz geçen sene de aynı yarışmada finalistler arasında yer almış ve mansiyon ödülü almıştı.
